Welcome Statement

Welcome to the VUMA Kenya Initiative. Thank you for sharing and supporting our vision to Rebuild a New Kenya.
Many of you have been moved by the plight of the victims of Kenya's post-election crisis but do not know how best to help. We hope that this website will provide you with the answers you are looking for.

In addition to assisting the disaster efforts of established disaster relief agencies, we ask you to consider supporting the unsung heroes on the ground; the grassroots organizations who are doing phenomenal work at the local community and individual level. These are the organizations that will continue with the difficult work of rebuilding and healing the victims' wounds long after the acute crisis is over and the trucks and makeshift tents have left.

We therefore ask you to get to know and support the organizations listed on "Our Partners" page. The time is critical, the time to act is NOW!!! Our actions will speak louder than any words possibly could. Let us unite as ONE Nation, ONE People, ONE Love. Join us in being the Change YOU Want to See in This World.

A few weeks ago, we all saw the picture of Grace(see Insight Kenya ) shot in the head by a rogue Policeman as the security forces carried out Operations in Naivasha. In a baby crib beside her lifeless, bleeding body was a terrified 14 month baby crying in terror. The baby now identified as Brian had just witnessed his mother shot in the head.
